Where It All Goes: a budget with giving, savings and fun money

Mark from Wisconsin tracks every transaction in a subcategory and uses parent groups only to roll spending up. Giving and savings come first, and Lifestyle includes separate fun money lines for each partner.

In their words

Everything we track is a subcategory. We never put anything in the parent categories, those we use just for grouping to make it more easy to see our spend across various larger buckets.
